About the Author

Founder of Unity House Press

Alma Santiago is a U.S. Army veteran, writer, and founder of Unity House Press, an independent publishing company dedicated to meaningful storytelling.


Born in Puerto Rico and raised in Massachusetts, Alma’s work blends heart, healing, and imagination. Her stories are inspired by family, resilience, and the belief that words have the power to bring people together.


When she isn’t writing, Alma enjoys spending time with family, reflecting through poetry, and continuing to build Unity House Press into a home for meaningful stories.

The Story Behind the Stories

Alma’s journey as an author began with a simple and heartfelt idea — creating a special book for her young niece. That moment sparked the creation of Mimi’s World: The Cloud Jumping Adventure, a story that celebrates imagination, courage, and comfort.


What began as one meaningful gift soon grew into a deeper passion for storytelling and the creation of Unity House Press.


Through her books, Alma explores themes of creativity, reflection, healing, and the power of finding one’s voice.
